Birthday
A long, long time ago OpenMinded gathered in a busy Burger King on Utrecht Centraal to discuss plans and ideas. A new doujinshicircle was to be born, Ealynn declared, one that would focus on shounen-ai and shoujo-ai. She had brought together interested people via the Aniway forum, and they were now silently nibbling a hamburger or brownie. An enjoyable time, but the best time was yet to come!

And now, five years later, OpenMinded is still alive and kicking. The group has been through a lot together en is still cranking out comics enthusiastically. The members try to visit as many conventions and fairs as possible, celebrate their birthdays together, organize meetings and chatter on and on online.

Anniversary Year
Being around for five years is a big thing. That's why we'll be celebrating the fact the upcoming year. Throughout the year we'll be releasing five special publications. Lovely, cute and inexpensive booklets to treat you, our readers. Our site will be renewed in the very near future, so keep an eye out for that too! We will also put up an adventcalendar again starting the first of December. A link will be provided when the time is there.

As an extra gift we've put our first two pockets online for your vieweing pleasure. We have no copies left of these pockets, but by putting them online they are once again accesible for everyone. That way our new readers can also witness our first steps into the world of doujinshi.

In publications and on fora and sites we often talk about the ins and outs of the group. That's why we at long last took the time to do a statistical analysis. This way we hope to give you a clear view of the phenomonon called OpenMinded. We present you the following results.

OpenMinded...
- Exists for five years already
- Has 14 members and 6 ex-members
- Published 15 anthologies, 5 solopockets and participated in the making of 5 convention-booklets

The OpenMinded members...
- Consume an average of 3 bags of marshmellows a year and 3,2 chocolate bars a week
- Consist of 40% of people that wear glasses or lenses
- Consist of 29% inhabitants of Hilversum and 18% of Zuid-Limburg
- Say squee 8 times a day on average, meh 5 times, murk 3 times and 'miew' 3 times
- Partake in a wide array of fandoms, which increases their chance at world domination by 71%
- Work or study fulltime, but still 10% of the members do make the deadlines!
- Have a canon that consists of Team America: World Police for 57% and an education that consists of HKU for 80%
- Say 'tentaclesex' 0.3 times in a conversation, 'butt sex!' 0.8 times and 'smut' 1.2 times, as well as 'faal' 0.5 times and 'episch' 0.2 times
- Are slashed with members of other circles 2 times a year on average and 4 times with members of their own circle
- Have consumed 0% decent crème brûlée in the past 5 years
